FAQs

Where are your villas and apartments located?
We have villas and apartments all over Goa. Some are located on or close to a beach whereas others are located in a more peaceful and quiet area. We also have villas and apartments in the city.

What is the minimum rental period?
The minimum rental period for majority of our villas and apartments is one night. However, between 22 December - 6 January most of our villas and apartments have a minimum five nights stay.

What is the booking process?
Once you decide on a villa or apartment, we tentatively block it for you for 24 hours to give you time to make an advance payment to confirm your booking.

How much do I need to pay to confirm a booking?
We require a minimum of 50% of the total booking amount to confirm your booking. The balance 50% is to be made prior to or at the time of check-in.
100% advance is required at the time of booking for stays between 22 December - 6 January.

 

Incase of overbooking or any conflicts? 

In case of over booking on part of the hotel/ de Souza Ventures or if the hotel is unable to accommodate a guest with a confirmed booking for any reason, alternative accommodation or an entire refund of the advance will be provided.

 

How can I make a payment?
All payments can be transferred to our firm’s Indian bank account or can be made via pay pal. We also have the facility to accept debit/credit cards online.

Are there any additional charges for credit/debit card or pay pal payments?
Yes.

What are the additional charges?
2.5% additional charge if payment is made by Master or Visa Credit Card/Debit Card
5% additional charge if payment is made by American Express Credit Card / Debit Card
3% additional charge if payment is made by Cash Card
4% additional charge if payment is made via PayPal

How will I know if my booking is confirmed?
Once our Accounts Department confirms that we have received your advance payment, our Reservations Team will email you your booking confirmation docket.

 

Is there a security deposit?
A security/damage deposit is required to cover the unlikely event of damages or breakages. This deposit will be refunded to you at the time of check out minus the damage/breakage charges. The terms of payment and the amount vary according to each property and circumstances.

Can I cancel my booking?
Yes, most bookings can be cancelled, except bookings for stays between 22 December - 6 January.

In case of cancellations what is the retention fee?
If cancelled more than 30 days prior to check in: Full refund.
If cancelled 15-30 days prior to check in: 50% retention (of the total billing amount).
In the event of cancellation less than 15 days prior to the check in or in case of no show, the client will be liable to pay the entire invoice amount pertaining to the villa bookings as retention charges.

No cancellations/amendments will be entertained for bookings from 22 December to 6 January.
No cancellations will be allowed on bookings that have already amended their booking dates once.
Refund process could take between 03-30 working days to process, depending on the mode of payment, the bank and country to which the transfer has to be made.
Refund if any will be made after deducting any and all bank/credit card charges/fees.

Are check-in and check-out days fixed to any particular day of the week?
No, you are welcome to check-in and check-out on any day of the week, subject to availability.

What is the check-in and check-out time?
Check in time is 2 PM and Check-out time is 12 noon.

What if I am arriving earlier or leaving later?
Early check-in and late check-out is as per availability and may be charged for.

 

Do the villa and apartments come with staff?
Some of our villas and apartments do come with staff. The number of staff varies according to the villa. The staff salaries are included in the rental price.

 

Do we have to carry any Id proof?
Yes, government recognized original Identity proof (PAN Card/Passport/Driving License) for every guest checking in/visiting is to be provided at the time of check-in. Guests not carrying identity proof will not be allowed to check in. No refund or reimbursement will be made such cases.

Do you arrange airport transfers?
Yes, we do arrange for airport transfers and local transport requirements during your stay. Some villas and apartments include the cost of airport transfers in the rental price.

 

Do you have any additional services?
Yes, Goa Luxury Homes is part of the de Souza Ventures group of companies. We are based in Goa and offer a wide range of services.

 

Can I book my flights through you?
No, we are not a travel agent so we do not book flights but we can advise you about the best carriers.
